The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have provided some information with regards to social distancing within the workplace.
Whilst they have identified that this is fundamentally a public health measure introduced to reduce the spread of infection. They do recognise the concerns raised on social distancing within the workplace.
If Employers are found not to be taking action to comply with the relevant Public Health England guidance the HSE shall consider taking a range of actions. These actions could include the provision of specific advice to Employers through to issuing enforcement notices to help secure improvements.
The HSE have further reiterated the guidance provided by the Government and Public Health England. This can be read by following the link below:

Employers should remember at all times that if they are to remain open for business and their Employees are not able to work from home, then adequate steps should be taken to ensure social distancing is implemented (maintaining a 2m distance) and adequate hygiene facilities are provided.
We remain open for business as usual and are available to discuss any issues you may have and provide guidance at this challenging time.
